Our Credentials

Lisa Paul CPDT-KA KPA-CTP ANWI

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP), a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), as well as an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Puppy S.T.A.R. Evaluator. I am also a dog performance events Judge (AKC Rally, UKC Rally and CDSP Obedience). I recently added Associate Nose Work Instructor to my resume from the National Association of Canine Scent Work.

Animal training is a constantly evolving area of research where we’ve only scratched the surface. As such, I am an enormous proponent for continuing education for ALL pet trainers.

All of my certifications require continuing education to maintain them. This can be challenging to fit into my busy life, but I enjoy learning about different perspectives and new training methods. There are so many amazing minds out there and part of my job description is to listen and absorb their terrific research and methods.

In turn, I pass this knowledge along to my clients and their animal family members. I will show you how to apply new techniques immediately and practically, specifically geared toward your animal companions – whether you have a house full of dogs, a couple of cats or even fish!

Peter Paul – BA, KPA-CTP

I am also a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy for Professional Dog Trainers, and a Certified Training Partner with that organization (KPA-CTP).

I’m a former Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, with extensive experience in training people in a number of skills.

I’ve learned, in the course of my military and civilian leadership experiences, that “servant / collaborative leadership” is the very best kind of leadership, available – in fact, it is the only kind that will reliably create the trust and respect necessary for long-term, sustainable results.

That’s what drew me to positive reinforcement training theory, and why I went to the Karen Pryor Academy!

Lisa and I are committed to guiding you and your companion animal(s) to the best communicative approach for your household, and to helping you develop your training skills, so that you will always have that set of talents at your disposal, in the future!
